Solemn Celebrations at Lourdes Mata Cave in Malleshana Gudda Estate, Hirebile.

On February 11, 2025, the festival was celebrated with great devotion and grandeur at the Lourdes Mata Cave, located within the Malleshana Gudda Estate, a part of St. Joseph's Church, Hirebile.

The Feast Day celebrations commenced with the recitation of the Holy Rosary, followed by the Eucharistic Mass, solemnly offered by Rev. Fr. David Prakash. During his homily, the priest spoke about the miraculous nature of this sacred cave, revered by devotees with deep faith. After the Mass, worshippers expressed their devotion by lighting candles and offering prayers. The celebrations concluded with a communal meal arranged for all the faithful who had gathered.

The Lourdes Mata Cave is a natural wonder, not crafted by human hands. Despite the devastating landslides caused by torrential rains in 2019, which resulted in immense destruction and loss of life, the cave remained untouched, with not a single stone displaced. Many believe that those suffering from ailments find healing through prayer at this sacred site.

Welcoming people from all backgrounds, regardless of caste or religion, the Lourdes Mata Cave stands as a beacon of faith and unity, drawing devotees back time and again to fulfill their vows.
