Annual Feast of St. Francis Xavier Church, Magge

The Annual Feast of St. Francis Xavier Church,
Magge, was a magnificent two-day event marked by
deep devotion and spiritual enthusiasm.
On the first day, the Holy Eucharist was carried
in a solemn procession through the village,
marking the beginning of the sacred fest. The
faithful gathered in large numbers,
participating in prayers and reflections as they
prepared for the main celebration.
The Feast Day witnessed a Solemn Eucharistic
celebration, presided over by Rev. Fr. Stany
D'Souza, Vicar General of the Shimoga Diocese. A
total of 18 priests joined in concelebrating the
Holy Mass, adding to the spiritual significance
of the occasion.
In the evening, the highlight of the feast was
the grand chariot procession, during which the
statue of St. Francis Xavier was carried through
the village, accompanied by hymns, prayers, and
the unwavering devotion of the faithful. The
event drew an estimated 1,500 to 2,000 devotees,
who wholeheartedly participated in the spiritual
activities over the two days, making it a deeply
enriching and memorable celebration.
